Ok so I went back to it and all I can say is big up Lalvin Yeast lol clapa I’ve never dealt with yeast where I had to rehydrate but it did a good job. Same thing again: a batch for me and a batch for work.

Dropped the Hydrometer yesterday and the work batch came in at 5.91% which isn’t bad but I wanted it a tad stronger so I stuck some more Sugar in and sent it back. Mine I’m not too fussed, I just wanted a decent sweetish Cider so I stuck some Splenda in mine and have left it to clear.

Question about ABV though......when I checked it yesterday the work one was 5.91% and then I added more sugar. How will I test the improved ABV next week? How will I know what it’s increased too?

I cant find it now but there is something that you can work out of how much sugar equals what potential alcohol it can produce, I think I searched PPG (points per gallon)
