Hi there.,

Just joined. I already brew my own beer but only from kits so looking to get some more info on doing it from scratch.

Thanks.

Norrie.

Hi there, enjoy there a lot of useful info, I’m up in Fife, I jumped straight in at the deepens and bought a grainfather.

I would love a Grain father but couldn't afford it. Been looking at some cheaper alternatives.

I’m sure there’s other system work just as good, I was fortunate to have the money to spend at the time. Not had chance to brew the past few months, can’t wait to get going again.

Welcome to the forum. To move to all grain I converted a tea urn and use the BIAB method. Also made a wort chiller which is quite easy, so you can do it on a budget.
Or you can do partial extract brews on the stove which is a half way point.
