I agree foxy.Problem is they cant admit it.
Just imagine the exodus if brexit was a winner.

But i dont think it will be due to all the vested interests.

Not long now before we find out for real.

Won't be long before you find out what chlorine washed chickens taste like.;)
In Australia our chickens are washed in chlorinated water, the only ones who kick up a fuss about it is the vegans!

Ahh i love chlorine in the mornings.

Actually i would rather chicken is washed in chlorine than not.
Food poisining is painfull and no joke.Despite the lavatorial humour.(I know from first hand exp,)

In the UK all our tap water is chlorinated so I assume its just more chlorinated?

I think I was washed in Chlorine water once a week as a kid too. Hated swimming as PE.

I may be wrong but are we still seeing remainers saying its all going to end badly and the leavers saying the opposite just like every Brexit thread we had before the ban, I guess we will soon see who was right.

Have confidence, it is not going to end badly. The cards are stacked in UK's favour, Europe may have the numbers quantity wise, it is the quality of the membership that counts.

France? Germany?

France? Germany?
Cyprus, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania,Estonia, Greece,Malta,Slovakia,Slovenia, Spain and any other rag tag and bobtail European countries Germany wants to enlist. Are they going to take up the vacuum of the finances paid in by the UK? I doubt it even collectively.

Ireland, Spain and any other rag tag and bobtail European countries Germany wants to enlist..

It's the Republic of Ireland to you.

We may have been rag tag & bob tail, but we have the fastest growning economy in Europe, full employment and no bush fires.
We also managed to kick the worlds most powerful empire out 100 years ago, but I digress.

It's highly unlikely the UK would be able to gain access to the common market if the UK are producing agricultural products which don't meet EU guidelines.
By highly unlikely, I mean impossible.

I think its the other way around, I would say Britain imports more agricultural produce from the Republic of Ireland than it exports. Both South and North America are waiting in the wings to enter a lucrative market like Britain.

Have we ever tried to export food that doesn't meet EU guidelines? I don't remember any big changes needed to export or a double standard for export goods.
The only thing I remember is subsidies to produce less so we don't flood the market and depress food prices.

What happened to the Wine and Milk Lakes, The grain and butter mountains? Oh yes, the EU. Plan Bordeux etc. And now we have food banks instead.

Surely if we produced at capacity we would import less?

UK will not go backwards on quality of any of its products or any "standards" to trade into the EU or anywhere else. Britain is a world leader to which others aspire to,our products and services are world class and carry prestige that people want.
Except people shopping in pyjamas.

The house of cards will start to crumble, they are dealing with Brits who's backs are against the wall, we are a tolerant people but when pushed to far you pay the price

I guess most malt we use is British produced - Marris otter and pale. Pilsner malt and so on, bit different story. Crisp do Europils malt, not sure if the use British barley for that or import raw grain and malt it themselves.

Equipment wise, lots of it comes from China anyway, so that should be fine I think.

My fav supplier is Get ER Brewed which is based in Northern Ireland - according to WA there will be border between us in mainland UK and NI - hoping it will be not affected.
Mine is thehomebrewcompany, which has a UK account in GBP and a Euro account in euros They're based in the Republic of Ireland so I'm hoping to be able to get all the stuff I usually use through them. Their Minch Malt (Hookhead) is very good stuff.
I'm not sure about stuff coming from China or hops from the USA is going to be ok. China and the USA have trade deals with Europe, of which we're part (for the mo). The UK doesn't have trade deals with those countries. Ask Malt Miller or Brew UK where they get their SS Brewtech from and I wouldn't be surprised if they come through a distributor like Brouwland . I think we should be asking these questions now and stocking up before the end of the year.
For my part, I get nearly all my stuff from the UK or Ireland. The suppliers here in France are ridiculous and Brouwland and the like won't mill the malt. I've built up a two-year supply of most ingredients to tide me over until things get sorted out. VP hops are good for at least that long unopened and in the fridge.
