Glad times indeed. At least on the beer front! What have you got planned?
My first all grain brews, all from Greg Hughes book. 10l batches as my largest pot is only 12l, though I have a pressure canner on the way that's 23l so I'll move to doing 11.5l brews which makes the maths easy as it's just half the standard 23l brew.

I'm going to start with the English IPA, then the bitter then the Porter. Should keep me going for the next few weeks activity. I'll see how those all get on and then see what I fancy trying next. I may need to order a few more hop varieties depending on what I brew but that shouldn't be too big an issue hopefully. I have a couple of pressure barrels which I've been using for the kits I've brewed up to now but just had 50 bottles delivered which should take care of most of what I need.

Anyone in London trying to get their sticky paws on kit; I went into Kingston upon Thames Wilko to buy some notty (which they had a number of packs of) and they had plenty of Wilko and Geordie kits on the shelf

BrewUK are coming out the other side of this - like others they were swamped around the start of the shut-in, but it sounds like they're getting on top of things. Sounds like TMM are getting there as well. To be honest I'm more wary of the smaller ones like Brew2Bottle who haven't suspended orders AFAICT.
I placed an order with Brew UK on 23rd March which is still showing as "processing". I'm not in a hurry, just kinda thinking hope it's in the line to be sorted at some point. Not sure there's much to be gained by chasing them, better to let them focus on getting the orders out. I hope ;)

I placed a grain order with Worcester Hop Shop on Sunday and received an email back straight away to say my order won’t be shipped for 7-10 days. I have enough ingredients for another brew so if it is 10 days I’m ok with that.

Whilst a lot of these beer kits are without doubt going to be wasted.
We may yet get a lot of new blood taking up brewing/winemaking and joining the forum.

A large number of new members have joined in the last couple of weeks with luck they will join in when they get started.

Not me MyQul
But your right a lot will be sold on or wasted.
From those however will be ( I hope) a large number that will take it up.

Picked up my grain today, talking to the co- owner they have $75,000 worth of grain in stock.
Good job now the government are saying the lock down could last for 6 months!

Same here, also ordered from BrewUK on the 23rd and not yet shipped, fingers crossed it will sometime this week.

One of our local small breweries is closing down at the weekend so I'm considering ordering some beers from them and asking if they'll sell me some grain/hops too.

Sorry to gloat (but im not really!).Put an order in yesterday at 11am. It was on my door step today at 9.30am (less than 24 hours). Who said the post is bad?

Out of interest I have just checked three online suppliers CML, THBC and Homebrewshop and they are all not taking any orders for the time being. I guess others will follow soon if they haven't done so already

CML are only taking orders via their eBay account (crossmyloofbrew) Same turn around on delivery, I order some last weekend for delivery the Wednesday after and the same this weekend. Got the email off Steven to say they’ve been posted, expecting them tomorrow. I got two sacks of grain delivered on Friday from THBC, that’s me sorted for a while. Just need to stop drinking from half twelve every day now!

Hope I do not start a panic with this but a nasty rumour is flying around that alcohol sales may be stopped because it lowers peoples immunity to the virus.
Do not forget it is April the 1st tomorrow so I do not believe it, or should I have waited until tomorrow to post this :laugh8::laugh8::laugh8:
