Nice 👍 Mine was very clear at that point but it was a different story after the hops had been in for 3 days 😂 Its seems to have cleared well in the bottles though. It will have been bottled 2 weeks on Sunday so I'll open one for a tasting.

Its a nice beer to be fair mate 👍 Bit of a fruity taste but still tastes quite alcoholic, it is 6.56% so I suppose thats expected. I've only had 3 bottles so far, im trying to be patient and wait for it to properly mature.

I just started another batch, same as you, first 3 days fermentation was crazy, im on day 4 now its slowing right down. I will just leave it for 10 or 11 days before adding the Hops

Yeah its seems common with this. Have you done the evil dog before then? Did it taste very strong?

yes did one a few before this, I was not impressed but I think I didn’t do a good job, so thought I’d try again. What I found last time was that I don’t think I got enough oxygen in the wort to start with I didn’t shake it up enough, it started to ferment slowly but kept going for the full weeks which seems contrary to what I hear ok here. Also when I added the hops I don’t think I mixed them In well either and it has 0 hops flavour !!! It actually came out smelling a bit like cider so maybe somebody knows why that is ?

Anyway I still drank it and only have 8 bottles left !! So can’t have been too bad just not the strong hoppy beer I was expecting

Yeah maybe something went wrong somewhere or maybe just a bad kit (if that happens?). Mine definitely doesn't smell like a cider but as far as the strong hoppy taste/aroma its not all that. I was hoping for a very hoppy beer but theres only slight notes, but its still a nice beer. Im going to do the youngs american ipa next as that's apparently loosely similar to the brewdog punk ipa and that's the sort of bitterness/hoppyness that I like, I also hear razorback is nice and hoppy 👍

yes punk ipa is lovely let me know how it goes I might try that one next

Mine is all gone now except a few bottles stashed for Christmas.
Mine was strong and fruity and very enjoyable.
Can't fault and will be doing again.
I've just started drinking my bad cat and am enjoying that too .

Im sampling a few tonight and thats exactly how I'd describe it, strong and fruity. Definitely a decent beer👍 id just like more hops coming through. I have considered buying another one and adding another 50g - 100g hops when dry hopping and see how that turns out.

I've added an extra 100g to this kit.

The Mrs described it as tasting just the same as the £7 pint at the fancy bar round the corner.
