Beers you have tried and would buy again multi choice poll added 15/9, due to poll answer limits i could only add the more readily available beers from the thread to the list.

Hobgoblin Gold is a surprisingly good beer on draught, bottles and cans are good but not a patch on draught.
I’m sure it has changed since it first came out. I remember being blown away by it when it first appeared and could really taste the Nelson Sauvin in there. Last time I had it it was just another bottled golden ale.

I forgot to mention the Aldi Harpers Brewing Co. Golden Crown.

I kept buying these for the bottles as they are clear and only cost £1.09 & come filled with beer what you have to drink to get rid off.

Turns out I quite like these. The hoppy aromas when you crack the first one fills your room with canabis aromas! I know there is a strong link between hops and weed.

JW Lees Moonraker is a current fave of the dark malty varieties though I do like a McEwan's Champion.

Tried the Dartmoor Jail Ale recently and I'd buy that again by the crate

St Austell Proper Job is a sure bet but nothing overly exciting. Ok if you fancy culturing up some decent and easy to work with yeast.

Ooooooh.
We were recently in Plymouth and The Dolphin had this on draught.
Me and SWMBO liked it so much we took a trip to the 'moor to get some from the brewery shop.
I hadn't considered that anyone would have a clone recipe, so I need to do a bit of digging here. :hat:
Draught Jail Ale is my commercial beer of choice, in fact I'm a Member of the Jail Ale Appreciation Society.

All my favourite bought beers seem to be brewed by Belgian monks. Too many to list usually do a shopping spree in France and will still do after covid dies. 1 particular favorite is Eddlewiess.

to many to name but some of my current fav's are , st Austels Tribute, Chalkys bite made by Sharps for Rick Stien. le chouffe Blonde and most other Belgium blonde's and most strong Belguim beer come to that.

There were a couple on the list i've tried and actively avoided. - Punk IPA and amber stream beer. Not really because I dislike them I would drink them in fact I had 2 punk ipas at a restaurant at £4.75 each but I have good stocks so I'm never that desperate. As the wine list was no great shakes punk it was. punk is the new ubiquitous default craft beer similar to john smiths, fosters and strongbow being a default bitter, lager & cider. I suppose for that I am eternally grateful to Brewdog.

If you do AG, brew your own bud. The recipe I used was absolutely spot on for the good stuff that you used to get on draught, and the bottles back when they used to be good too. My wife and I used to drink Hobgoblin Gold in a tiny little pub not far from us, before Marstons sold it to a nursery..... Proper old style pub, no kitchen, didn't take card payments, we used to take dog biscuits for the landlordss dog and at Christmas we took some stollen in for the landlord one year. So we have fond memories attached to the beer too I guess. lol
