Just nipped back out to the shed to put the timer on the cheap Chinese UV lamp I am using to resuscitate a couple of chilli plants. Whilst I'm here a quick check on the Woodfordes Tinsel Toes that I failed to get ready for Christmas which is OK. Plants being irrigated solely with whatever is left in the lines from previous pour.

And to complete the hat trick of fairly underwhelming beers currently pouring, a quick swally of what is essentially GH 80 shilling. Bad pic but its nice and clear, decent body and probably a well made beer that is just a little malty for my taste and not sure I will use the Scottish ale yeast again in a hurry.

Following @Hazelwood Brewery lead...a different setting, but also a different beer. My last of the evening and I'm now down to the last 4 bottles of this St Peters stout kit. It's now over six months old and the head retention, lacing and mouth feel are all much improved. Whilst the flavours and bitterness have mellowed a little.

This comes up on the pumps in quite a few pubs round work and I'm always pretty partial to it.
I've been to Bakewell and visited the brewery. Was a hell of a lot better. But regardless of the different places I have drank it, I just remember being generally more impressed. I find that once these beers start appearing on supermarket shelves, the quality starts to head south.

Since it's still Friday, maybe just one more... And plus one vote for jaipur not being quite as good as it used to be :(

Their very, very best is Radieuse, but I haven't seen it for yonks. I wonder if they still make it. Followed the Ruby with Leffe Nectar: absolutely horrendous! It contains "honey flavouring" which tastes more like beeswax candles than honey. And it's cloyingly sweet, beurk! Tip half of it down the sink and followed with a Modello! WTF is it? Not unpleasant, but.
I'm trying to get rid of all the little bottles that good-meaning people have bought me and I wish they hadn't.

Enough.
I've got some Lagunitas "Sumpin' Ale" and I'm going to fluch the system through with it.
Rejoice.

The rituel was also good the radieuse better than the bottom 3 IMO. The nectar a bit too sugary for me.

Rituel is readily available here, but I haven't tried it for ages. I might treat myself to a bottle next shop.

This arvo bottled my Brown Porter, with added Plum Essence, it only takes a poofteenth of bugger all to flavour the porter. Last time I made this I put in too much. Pretty sure I have nailed it this time.
What was left in the bottling bucket I poured into a glass and just dipped the end of the syringe in, even that was just a little to much.

Finally before dinner managed a Pacific Pale Ale.
Malt, wheat and Galaxy hops.
