Mangrove jacks helles with their brew enhancer is really good. For pale ale I like a coopers Australian pale ale kit made with 1.2kg of pale liquid malt and dry hopped with 25g of citra pellets. Hope that helps mate 👍
Perhaps a Yorkshire bitter kit with a kilo of dark spray malt instead of sugar, then perhaps some hop additions with the same type of hops as in the all grain recipe. Guarantee it wouldn't be an exact copy but it may be somewhere near.
I batch prime by dissolving the required amount of sugar in warm water. But I don't transfer from my fermenting vessel into a bottling bucket I just add the sugar solution to the primary fv and give it a gentle stir then bottle direct from the primary fv.
This year 315 litres of beer, cider and wine. In the 23 years I've been brewing.. No idea but deffo more than 1000 litres. Got to say I used to think I drank too much till I read this thread :laugh8: now I realise I must try harder lol :beer1:
I normally batch prime by dissolving the sugar in a couple of pints of warm water. I don't bother siphoning into a second fv before batch priming though I just bung it into the primary fv and give it a gentle stir.
