Many thanks for the detailed explanation - I’m holding out hope as it is cooling a little bit - I’m assuming I just didn’t leave it long enough to settle which is why it’s not working at full whack. Hopefully turning it back on keeping it on the lowest setting will get it going!
Didn’t test if I’m honest. The light still works and you can the fridge trying to work. It’s getting cool but not cool enough!
Drilled a hole for gas and two for the taps. Nothing too much.
It certainly did - although I did use Nelson sauvin, enigma and hallertau Blanc which are all ‘grapey’ in their flavour profiles.
Would definitely get some crappy macro lager adjuncts in the mash too. Flaked rice and maize for example

I used 5ml for a 23 litre batch. Added at the same time as pitching the yeast. Achieved an FG of 1.000
So I built my kegerator last weekend. Turned it on straight away (dumb idea I know) and it wouldn’t cool to a decent temp (gets down to around 15.5c)
I’ve turned it off and won’t turn it back on in 24 hours. Will this get the fridge cooling? Or have I totally buggered the fridge? Cheers!

Also has anyone used NE yeast recently? I’ve got some off a head...
Not used on a Homebrewing scale but did have a belma and huell melon pale ale at a brewery in the states that I totally forget the name of. It was all strawberries and melon. Delicious.
I’ve done the GH American wheat a few times - it’s my favourite recipe in the book. Did it with us-05 and WY1010 and found the 1010 a lot more interesting.
Definitely going to revisit the recipe now and add some oats on your recommendation!
Malt Miller tends to be a touch expensive for certain items.
But the selection is fantastic and the customer service is superb - they once sent me the wrong yeast - a quick email to them and I got the correct yeast the next day.
23 litre batches.
Use a peco mashing bin as an HLT. Mash in a 45 litre picnic cool box. Use a spare FV to batch sparge into. Use above mashing bin for boiling the wort. Works for me.
Did once consider a grainfather but I would probably not be able to eat for a month! I brew to save money and...
