I did the christmas beer a few years ago. I didnt like it much and left about 40 330ml bottles in the shed. Got desperate recently and tried a few. very strong polish dark beer has matured I believe. Not a beer I enjoy but I am pleased with the general quality.

That is right, no additional sugar but I have seen people on this forum discussing adding more sugar and water. I have done this now by simply making up to a finished volume of 7 litres. hopefully ill report back in a few months.
