Just answering my own post, I gave bentonite a try because I fermented on a load of trub and it managed to flatten it to under the valve outlet. I then transferred it to mini kegs and it’s now carbonating nicely.
Just completed my first all grain brew, every thing went fine i was aiming for 23ltr @1.056 but got 24 ltr @1.062 which was fine only trouble i had was my bazooka filter kept blocking and i had to keep disturbing the trub when pumping to the fermenter will this be ok or is there anything i...
My Klarstien Maischfest arrived today,i made a dip stick as i was adding the water to test it.then fitted a UK plug so i could test the control board which all worked perfect,i then put some pipe on the cooling coil and added a tap connector so i am now ready for my first All Grain brew day...
Sounds like you had a good day, how much grain did you use and what did you make.it might be a good idea to make a dip stick to measure the amount in the boiler
Cheers
It looks like the brewers edge system uses the same control panel but with a lower power option. Might be worth a watch on the tube for people looking how to use the maischfest
Ps don’t forget the brewers edge is 110 v system
Chrislane Looking forward to hear your results as info is hard to find on this brewer nothing on the tube so maybe you could post your results.

Just got the klarstein 30ltr fermenter and I’m very impressed.very well packaged and great quality ,great seal and air lock included but it comes with a larger than standard bung.also it doesn’t have any inner ltr markings other than the max 30ltr.
All in all like a kid with a new toy
Cheers
Trying something new keeps your interest and it does make a Change with the dried fruit kit which also makes a nice drop of plonk especially if you let it age a bit
Cheers
I have made lots of these (Chardonnay type) and they turn out pretty good they are a bit messy to make but using a grain bag for your dried fruit ect makes life a lot easier
