    Brew Monk 30L controller fault?

Hi LeeH, Yes I've emailed 'Get Er Brewed' but don't suppose I'll hear anything back till Monday. I was just hoping it might be a problem someone on here had encountered for which there was a simple fix. It's actually just under a year old so hopefully they'll sort it with no issues.

    Brew Monk 30L controller fault?

Hi all, My Brew Monk 30L has developed a fault. I've had it a year and probably brewed with it a dozen times or so with no problems but today as I was heating the mash water it kept switching off as if it had reached temperature when it hadn't. I restarted it a couple of times (the controller...

    Coffee

I had a Gaggia Baby (same workings as the Classic) and a Rancilio Rocky grinder. Loved them. Some of the best coffee I ever had was made with them. Had to pack it in due to a heart issue unfortunately. If you're anything like me you'll spend many hours trying to perfect your flat white!

Drinks You Wouldn't Admit to Drinking

I drink in a Greene King pub that really looks after their beer. Abbot there is second to none but when it's off I'd rather switch to Guinness or San Miguel than drink the flat, tasteless, insipid brew that is IPA.

    Robobrew and Grainfather false bottom

I've just re read this and obviously it's not a great fit!

    Robobrew and Grainfather false bottom

Hi Martin, Yes, I'll let you know what I do. FYI the Brew Monk 30L internal diameter is 35cm. I also looked at the false bottom on Angel Brew and it would fit quite well. It would be above the tap and below the malt pipe so it's an option. For now I'm opting for the hop spider and will...

    Robobrew and Grainfather false bottom

Hi, Great info thank you so much. I had seen the whirlpool arm but doubted it would manage to do much as the pump doesn't seem that powerful. I'm guessing pumping the wort out from height though the spider really oxygenated it as well. Brewista.

    Robobrew and Grainfather false bottom

That's good to hear. I'll get a hop spider. What size do you have? I'll also get the Grainfather Whirlpool drill attachment. Do you find you get a cone of debris after your whirlpool? Cheers, Brian.

    Robobrew and Grainfather false bottom

Hi Graham, How much hop debris do you get when using the hop spider? Is it so little that you can drain the kettle with bazooka in place withour any blockage? Brewista.

    Robobrew and Grainfather false bottom

Does anyone have the dimensions of the Grainfather/Robobrew false bottom? I have the Brew Monk 30L and the bazooka filter at the bottom just blocks with the hop crud that settles on it after a brew and I have to syphon the wort out. I use muslin hop socks but enough gunk still gets through to...

    Jon Finch NEIPA recipe question.

Hi @Northern_Brewer and @Markk. Thanks for your replies which I've only just seen. I'm fast learning there is no one rule for anything in brewing and dry hopping a NEIPA is definitely no exception! My hops didn't go in during high krausen but fermentation was still active so there may be some...

    Jon Finch NEIPA recipe question.

Hi Spratt, Thanks for looking back over your brew notes regarding the above. I've decided to dry hop it a little earlier than I first said based on this and add them tomorrow. This will be day 4 and if I leave them in for the recommended 7 days that'll be 11 days in total fermenting and...
