I used the yeast that came with the kit and brewed at a controlled 22c for 10 days and dry hopped the last two, oddly the SG was only 1038, it should have been around 1050 according to the kit instructions. I'll put this down to a failed brew and move on. I have a Get Er Brewed foundation kit next.
Recently brewed the DR Riwaka PA and noticed a slight banana/pear drop tinge to it, if anyone has also done this one did you get the same result? It's still drinkable but not to my taste preference.

Sounds like IBS, I had similar issues and changed my lifestyle and it improved, no real cure just a matter of managing it, hope it's nothing more serious, everything in moderation really seems to help, IBS is mostly caused by stress to my knowledge.
this is my first kit brew using brew enhancer and temperature controlled brew fridge plus strabright finings, a step up from my first attempts which were brewed on the kitchen worktop, it's still a bit young and needs a couple more weeks of maturation, I'm just impatient as my wife keeps...

I'm waiting to post a pic of my homebrew effort but meanwhile I picked these three up from the co -op. Sierra Nevada apparently the original APA, very nice, Thornbridge hazy ipa, very nice, Goose Island IPA, 'WOW' oh and a bag of crisps, cheese and onion.
