    NAWB Comp

Does anyone enter the annual NAWB (National Association of Wine and Beermakers) comp? What's the quality of the brews like there (and what are the other members like?)

Old Ale/Barley wine from a Morgans Royal Oak Amber Ale kit

So as have a lot of others I've bought the Morgans Royal Oak Amber Ale kit and the corresponding 'Caramalt' can of extract. Looking at them I'm concerned what would happen if I just did the brew as instructions would be over sweet and a syrupy foreign cousin of bitter. I was thinking instead as...

Morgans Golden Sheaf Wheat Beer 1.7kg Kit Can

I've got this can as well as the corresponding 'morgans master malt wheat' can. Was planning on trying a hoegarden style wheat beer with witbeer yeast and perhaps some dextrose to get the gravity up then brewed hot with additions of orange peel and coriander. No idea how it would turn out as a...

    30L Keykeg Attachement Advice

That's awesome thanks and just what I was looking for. I'm sure others will find it useful as well as these kegs can be found for free from a lot of places as they are typically only designed for single use in the trade. Saves buying more corny kegs!

    30L Keykeg Attachement Advice

Yeah great thanks. So I think it would seal no probs, just need to fix a dip tube onto the coupler. Plastic one would probably be fine.

    30L Keykeg Attachement Advice

Hi All, I've managed to get hold of a couple of used 30L plastic Keykegs for free. I know these are pressure rated so was thinking if/how i could re-use them. First things first I've (eventually) removed the bag from inside the keg as it'd be a nightmare to work with. This has been done...

    Morgans Beer Kits

Ended up just going through the process with these and leaving them for 2 weeks before kegging one and bottling the other (bottled one on 21/05/21 kegged the other on 20/05/21). They seem to have carbed up ok so I can only assume they are done. Aim is to leave for 2 weeks at around 25degC to...

So I put this on as: 1.9kg Ginger 2277g Granulated Sugar 2tsp cream of tartar 2 Small Limes 1 tbsp Molasses (meridian) about 0.4 tsp Hot Chilli Powder Yeast leftover from a Beer Kit (Morgans) OG 1.051 on 26/05/21.............FG 0.977 on 07/06/21 Chopped the ginger using the mandolin blade on...

    Fiery Ginger Beer

depends on the size of your bottles! for my 500ml ones it comes to about 1 per bottle which I expect is going to be the bare minimum. I think we will probably sweeten to taste at serving as well but would prefer at least a bit of the sweetness from sucralose as it's a bit healthier (also...

    Fiery Ginger Beer

I have trawled through a huge eleven year old thread here plus a few other sources and have come up with this recipe, thoughts? for 23L 2kg ginger 2.5kg granulated sugar 10 tsp cream of tarter juice and rind of 2 limes/lemons 4 teaspoon ground ginger 1 teaspoon hot chilli powder 1 tablespoon...

    Morgans Beer Kits

Just called B2B and they said it's probably ok as is, not worth doing much drastic to it to try and get the FG down. I'll leave it another week to see if that helps then just bottle/keg it anyway. I agree it's the price for a 2 can kit that attracted me. I'll give it a bit of a stir tonight to...

    Morgans Beer Kits

Just put 2 morgans kits together a 'Stockmans Draught' and a 'Canadian IPA'. They were done with 1/2 a can of Morgans Pale Master Malt each and 500g brewing sugar. OG for both was 1.042 and I fermented them a bit hot at around the 25C mark as I was concerned about getting a stuck fermentation as...
