    Liquid Malt Extract

    I have a can of Coopers 1.5kg Light Liquid Malt Extract and i have never done a brew with LME so can anyone help me with the process in using to make a beer ? I have know recipe to follow but i would like to make a 2 gallon brew so i am not sure how much to use out of the can for that ?

    my lager brew has been fermenting for 26 days the bubbling airlock is slow , It spent 10 days at 10c then up it to 16c , do i need to wait for all the bubbling to stop . i would like to get them bottled as soon as possible .

    I know its not a perfect science i will stick with the refractometer readings for now, I am going to give it a few more days and do another reading , but doesn't 1.005 means its about done ?

    I wanted to avoid the hydrometer i don't do large brews mostly 1 gallon sometimes 2 gallon and i would hate to waste that much beer , I was told you can use an online calculator that will work it out for you, i must admit tried two different sites with slightly different results .

    thanks i would really appreciate that always worth having a good Guinness recipe at hand , As for the sourness taste i don't think its in all Guinness but depending on where it was made , and really i think it probably would be just as fine without it .

    That is mostly the recipe i have , it dose not say acidulated malts just says lactic acid , I don't have acidulated malt but i do have some lactic acid, i was thinking would it be ok to add some to the wort to get a little sourness taste i do want it to be very sour in taste .
