I'm planning my next brew - Full Croi Irish Red from John Palmer's How to Brew
The recipe uses a single hop addition of 25g Phoenix (9%) at 60 mins to give 26 IBUs
I could only get Phoenix with 12.3% AA
My question is do I:
A- use less (calculated as 18.5g) to get the same IBU
B- use the same...
Brewed a verdant IPA - based on David Heath's recipe, but added an extra 1.5L of sparge water and ended up with 23L @1.042 in the fermenter instead of 19L @1.052. That's ok, I'll call it a session IPA
Brewed my Christmas beer today - bit late, but hopefully will just about be ready for the festivities. 23L of a kiwi style pale ale with added ginger honey and orange peel.
