    New Fermenter Fridge - Currys

    Thanks @chopps for trying that. I think the fridge model @pdh3137 has is slightly wider and deeper, so if I went with that model I should be ok I reckon due to the extra width and depth: CUL55W19 845 x 553 x 584 mm (H x W x D) Storage volume 130 litres CUL50W20 83.9 x 49.4 x 49.4 cm (H x W x D)...

    New Fermenter Fridge - Currys

Brilliant that fridge will suit me perfectly as I plan to use it for fermenting and then keep kegs cool when not fermenting. I think I've the same style corny kegs so should be good to go. Thanks for reply and posting photos I'm off to buy a fridge now!

    New Fermenter Fridge - Currys

Great post @chopps ! Sorry for digging up an old post but was thinking of buying one of these as can't get my hands on a 2nd hand fridge at the moment. Do you reckon a 19L corny keg would fit in this fridge? I can't quite make out the measuring tape in your photos but think it could sit ok on...

Have a go at simple AG

Yeah sieve tends to block up for me and I kind of stir it to try and ease the wort through it, or have to end up clearing it and going again. I've heard some people suggest using the BIAB as a hop bag instead but would make cleaning a lot more difficult I'd imagine. I need to start taking...

Thanks @matt76 good to know I was more or less on the right track, I also like your approach as it simplifies things. I bought beersmith recently but still haven't figured out how to use it correctly, brewersfriend interface looks a bit more straightforward/easier to use. I've a 21 litre stock...

Have a go at simple AG

Hi @matt76 I've done a couple of all-grain brews now using the method in this thread and have bought the Greg Hughes book but am having trouble adapting the recipes to this method or understanding how much water goes in at the mash/boil stages. Do you or anyone have any advice on this? All the...

    Cheapest small batch fermenter?

I use these as well for 1 gallon batches and work well, don’t even need to drill lid for airlock just loosen it so CO2 can escape

Have a go at simple AG

Tried my first all grain beer last night only and was very pleasantly surprised how good it was, although I shouldn’t be after reading this thread. I followed the recipe but used mosaic hops. It was only bottled a little over a week so maybe this is what surprised me most regarding the taste
