this is a copy of notes from my first attempt at mead brewing note* I used more yeast and a secondary fermentation as my sugars were still very high and my abv was very low it turned out good in the end the key is patience also if you make it a little too dry you can sweeten it by the glass...

hahaha sounds like a plan I feel like its gonna be a kinda hooch but will let you know once I've made it

so what would this come under a beer cider or something else ??

I used the cider yeast with sweetner that toddy suggested in the original recipe

after all the ingredients in the original recipe I think I was about 19 or 20 ltr and I topped it up to 25lt as per the recipe with water bringing grav down to 1.038 and to top it up in bulk a bit

currently sitting between 20/22° the eggy smell is not as strong today I did open the FV this morning and I didnt get a big woft of egg so I'm thinking the worst may be over in future should I be diluting it a bit more with water to or adding something to give the yeast a bit of support ?

what should I do ??
