Thanks for the quick reply.
I've used both CRS and Lactic in previous brews in the way you suggested said, and depending on the style which one to use.
I must be doing something wrong on Brewfather, when I add Lactic to the mash it doesn't alter the profile, but does lower the PH.
The auto...
I've been having a play with the Brewerfathers water calculator. I'm using 75% RO water and 25% tap water. The tap water has been tested for calcium and alkalinity and I got the rest of the information from my online water report.
I want to brew a David Heath Kolsch recipe, so I entered his...
I put the recipe in to Brewfather and got 55 IBU, which I thought was high for the style of beer.
The kit gets good reviews, so maybe I'm unduly worrying.
Just thought I'd get a bit of forum feedback.
Hop schedule for this kit is 100g Golding hops at start of boil for 70 mins, 50g Syrian at flame out and 50g dry hop.
Just a but worried the 100g at at the start may be a bit much.
The kit does get good reviews.

That what I use and Brewfather figures are pretty much the same.
Makes 20L of beer according to the blurb so I worked my figures on 21 in the fermenter which fitted in with the beers 3.8% abv.
My efficiency settings are set quite low in Brewfather so I wasn't entirely surprised with the 1.044 og. I do think my hydrometer reads a point or two high though, so...
Not been brewing too long myself so definitely not a expert. Don't worry about the the berries, the supplied ones were dried.
I will dry hop in the primary and keg about five days later. I've never dry hopped in the keg, I intend to try it sometime.
Not sure how I ended up with such a high og. I...
Coincidentally I brewed this yesterday. There wasn't much detail regards the Juniper berries, they supplied 50g but only 20g needed according to the recipe.
I added 10g at flameout once cooled to 80°c and left it for 20mins. The other 10g should be soaked in Vodka and added with the dry hops...
