    Wilko Feeling Hoppy

So I never actually got round to doing this kit until about 4 weeks ago. Added 500g LME and 1kg of brew enhancer along with 50g citra and 50g mosaic as a dry hop. They've been bottle conditioning for 2 weeks. Chilled one and cracked it open this evening and crikey I never thought homebrew...

    Vimto cider

That's good to know, I may give this another go then. How long did yours take to ferment?

    Vimto cider

Yes could do, however I looked at getting some Vimto from Morrisons (The seemingly full sugar version) and it has sweeteners listed in the ingredients. I have some plain apple on the go, so think I'll use the Vimto one to backsweeten that and see how we go :)

    Vimto cider

I know this is an old thread, but I used the same recipe and found the same that it is way too sweet. Apparently you can't get full sugar vimto since the UK government passed sugar tax. Not sure what to do with it now, it's undrinkabley sweet! :(

    Wilko Feeling Hoppy

Just opened the kit and the sachet of yeast is 6g? Perhaps a silly question but is that enough to get a quality end product? Wilko's pack of ale yeast is 11g.

    Hello from Kent

Morning all, Just a quick hello from me. Recently new to home brewing, started off with a 40 pint ale kit a few weeks ago which is conditioning in bottles. Hopefully crack some of them open for Christmas. Also have 5l of Turbo Cider on the go, and 5l of spiced mead. Next on my list is a...

    Wilko Feeling Hoppy

That sounds promising for the kit then, at what point in the fermenting did you dry hop?

    Wilko Feeling Hoppy

Afternoon all, Recently gotten into brewing and picked up the 'feeling hoppy' IPA kit from Wilko's Artisan range. Just thinking about additions I can do, as my experience of other homebrew kits people have done is they can often come out a bit watery and flavourless. It's a 1.8kg kit with 10g...

    Cheap Starter Kit ok eBay

It's true the fermenter lid doesn't seal great at all and comes off at the slightest tap, but for the price I still can't fault it.

    Cheap Starter Kit ok eBay

The kit I received was a grain kit, with malt extract and some hops. Not sure if they differ, but you may receive something similar.

    Cheap Starter Kit ok eBay

I bought one a few weeks ago and its excellent value for money. Had to bodge the brew a bit as the kettle didn't work on my induction hob (I now have a heat transfer plate) but it turned out tasting great. It's cheap because the kit is out of date, but I brewed in September and this was the...
