Modern mild - am I really the only brewer who makes it?

I make a whitbread dark mild clone regularly. Reminds me of the times I used to go to my local for a few in the 80's

    Hi everyone

Well, I've not posted for a while (I've been here reading!) so I thought I'd just say hi and also ask some advice. My family and I was out last year in Buxton sat in a park with a good friend of mine with his family (he's the head brewer of a micro in Manchester) enjoying the sunshine and...

    Inkbird

I bought this a few weeks ago, it was the cheapest with free delivery too. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222008417858?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Message Board Brewing Competition announcement thread.

I'm not sure how we'd find out who was the winner as we'd all have to send 100's of bottles of our brews out to all members to vote on. That'd cost a fortune in bottles and postage? Great thinking though, what about a monthly giveaway? You try mine.. I'll try yours. Pick four or five of us each...

It's a funny thing this yeast.

I've had a lager in the brew fridge for around eight weeks now and it's still bubbling away quite happily.. at 4c?? :wha: I thought lowering the temperature would have made the yeast dormant. I wish it'd hurry up though as I'm quite thirsty!

    Fermentation...whats it all about?

Maybe you could just leave say 100ml of your next brew in a trail jar and let that ferment "open" and then compare tastes?
