Pressure dials when cylinder turned off- do I have a leak?

Sorry to drag this thread up but I've been stressing for a week about a leak. When you say gas cylinder valves, do you mean the one directly attached to the canister? I have taken to turning the canister off when not in use. I have a slow leak on a JG 3 way splitter between the body and the...

    Quick release gas connection?

Great find. Im just trawling through posts as I've got a gas leak on JG set up. But thought I'd ask as my gas is out side my keezer and looking at a new line management when Ive solved the leak. Why do you want a disconnect when you could just turn the gas off on the cannister?

    Digital thermometer cheap and accurate

Is the heat shrink so you can place the probe deeper or to lessen the chance of damage if it slips past the probe/wire join? £10 for 10m at Screwfix, got no use for the other 9.5m but if it's just for safety I already have different types of tape I could use.

    Budget Kettle Elements

Hi, just looking for some advice. Did you scrub clean your elements after each boil? I've got a single kettle element and it's got black burnt on wort that I'm currently trying to scrub and soak off with vinegar and citric powder. I'm concerned that the burnt coating could fry the element or...

    Homemade boiler

I made mine from an old Young's bucket, I've done a few full 20L and not had a leak or have it form permanently. With the heat it does go very soft so I wouldn't move it. No melting around the element either and I only had 1 so the stress on it doing a full batch would be more than you with...
