Think they've changed the bottle shape within the last year to use less glass, so now there's no nobbly bit at the top and my 2-lever hand bottler works fine on these new ones.
Not bought any commercial beer for 3 years (other than in pubs). Occasionally I might be tempted by the beer aisle, but I can't really justify to myself buying any when i have so much homebrew of different styles sitting around the house!
Btw, Hobgoblin now comes in a different shape bottle, which means my hand-capper can now cap them rather than shearing the top off!
But when my hand-capper finally expires (1980's twin-lever metal capper from Boots), I'll probably go for a bench capper.
I use a 75W reptile heater ceramic "bulb", simply because it was £2 rather than £16 for a tube heater. Maybe another £1 for the socket/holder too.
Works perfectly in combination with an old desktop PC fan to circulate the air and Inkbird.
But there's always the possibility it won't last as...
That looks like a great idea, as we don't have any cows around here to feed the spent grains to.
So I reckon you could make about 300 dog biscuits per brew?
We're going to end up with a fat dog!
