As I understand it, 32.6l is the "absolute" total amount of liquor for the batch.
Put the 10.7l in your pot and heat up to strike temp, add grains in bag and mash for specified time; while thats going on, heat up the remaining 21.9l; at the end of the mash take the bag out and run the 21.9...
my stc-1000 should be delivered in the next day or so.... is your fermenting chamber outside in a shed or garage or inside the house?
mine is outside in shed; was planning on buying a tube heater but if a 40W bulb is enough to heat the fridge when the ambient temp outside the fridge will be...

might be able to get a brew done tonight, which would be nice!! If I put a campden tab in the liquor to deal with the chlorine, do I need to leave it for 24hrs before using it? or will it be ok to use given 2 or 3 hrs?

one follow up question if I may... I'm assuming people have been using the Tesco/Argos kettles for years. Has there been any issue with the elements changing and requiring a different size hole in the pot?

doing a little future planning and wondering, if I converted my 33l brew pot to electric, would it be best to go with 2 x 2.2kW elements from an Argos kettle, or would one be sufficient? or do you guys recommend going for something like this -...
