    Fiery Ginger Ale

I don't think the original recipe will have enough ginger flavour. I use 400g for 21 ltr and it is has a similar ginger flavour as Canada Dry. (Maybe slightly less) I use Morrisons frozen ginger. It costs 85p and I think it is made by Taj. Muslin bag not required as it sinks to the bottom of the...

    Batch priming

+1 to this except I used to always bottle it straight away.

    Batch priming

I think that the sugar solution will have made it to the bottom and not mixed in properly. How long did you leave it between adding the sugar solution and bottling?

    Co2 expectations

Evening all I started to use corny kegs about a year ago and the Co2 tank that I bought is 6.5kg. It has forced carbed and dispensed 21 kegs before it has just expired. Is this roughly what is to be expected? Also, can anyone recommend a Co2 supplier in the Bolton/ Wigan/ Leigh area that will...

    Cloudy wine when chilled.

Correct. If you use finings at room temp it will be perfectly clear at room temp. If you then put it in the fridge for a couple of hours, it will probably have 'chill haze'.

    Cloudy wine when chilled.

You need to chill it to the serving temperature before adding finings. The haze that appears at that temperature is then removed by the fining. If this is not an option, as Chippy says, chill haze doesn't affect the taste.

    Corny Fridge

UPDATE... LOL... So I bought the biggest under the counter fridge that I could see. 85x55x56 and is 121 litres. I thought that this would be big enough. When it arrived I unpacked it, put the two kegs in and.... couldn't shut the door. I haven't got the knowledge or skill to cock about chopping...

    Corny Fridge

Hi Stephenj I thought about that but I thought a fridge would sort out the temp control being easier to manage. Thanks Matt

    Corny Fridge

Thank you for the reply Beercat. I would just rather order one on-line that I know will work size-wise. I have a couple of friend that have under counter fridges that I have measured and the corny wouldn't fit due to moulded plastics. Space for two cormy's would be fine if anyone has the info...

    Corny Fridge

Good evening Folks I have had a quick search on the forum without any success. I want to buy a fridge from Curry's, Argos or Tesco that will hold two corny's. (not the Co2) I am struggling to find the internal distentions on the websites and I won't be able to visit the shops with my cut out...

    Geordie Yorkshire Bitter Review

Bought in the Wilko sale for £9.00. Made up to 19.5ltrs and left for about 2 weeks. FG was 1.005 then kegged just over 3 weeks ago and just poured the first pint. Crystal clear, great head and most important of all taste's fab. Will do it again without hesitation. Regards Matt
