HELP PLEASE! I have a Mangrove Jack Pils in the FV which will have been there 3 weeks tomorrow. The gravity reading seems to have stabilised at 1014 which is below the apparent target of 1015 but the airlock is periodically bubbling albeit rather feebly. The OG was 1050 and I used the MJ No1...
I know we midlanders like a good head but this Dark Rock Session Aussie Gold reminds me of the 1970s ad for Whitbread Trophy (Whitbread Bighead Trophy Bitter the pint that thinks it's a quart) but fortunately the Gold is considerably better!
The more I brew the more I realise patience reaps dividends. I have two ageing brews in bottles which were overlooked for weeks for being suspect but which are now really coming into their own and in the case of kits at least double the minimum recommend maturation period!
That post caused some diversion as I only saw part of the name on the glass and could not get away from "vinegar" so did an internet search to find the brewery to then see the name on the bottle!! Perhaps knowing we can resort to the Web reduces the effort of our grey cells!
It's that tasty and clear AG Citra again which was done with a 35 year old Electrim bin which means I could not possibly justify spending hundreds on fancy equipment! (Probably wouldn't be allowed to....)
Dark Rock Session Aussie Gold excellent after eight weeks in the bottle. I like to match bottles to type so here is the Aurum bottle which as all the chemists on here will immediately realise the Au symbol comes from aurum as Latin for gold.
