Tried pimping them up , extra hops , dextrose etc end results poor
Not very good even free 6 weeks in bottle
Too thin , too much alcohol taste despite max of 5,5%
I'll stick with premium kits in future
I've had a few cartons of these over the years and I'm gonna chuck them now
Never get cold enough and I often find the taste in them isn't up to scratch, getting the tips off about takes skin off me hands and need molegrips to take the damn things off
More than enough bottles now and swing...
Anyone tried this?
Only cost 12£ so am gonna tart it up, might try another CML punked up dry hop, with a further 4/500g of Light spray malt

2 week ago I bottled a 2 can brew of wilkos feeling hoppy, 1kg brew sugar and 100g of Citra
Anyway in cool dark room they've been for over a fortnight
Still cloudy n don't seem to be clearing
Did half dozen in clear glass so I am able to check their progress

After I've left on fridge for like 48 hours I noticed some are flat , is this normal or could seals have perished?
Mind you they've only been lightly used but I do put them in dish washer after use ?
I don't brew lager , tried in the past but just a kit and added just LME nothing else with poor bland results
I've a spare fv so thought I'll try again with some recommendations
Oh and a decent yeast for lager recommendation
Don't do cold crashing , just want to make a batch and hope for...

So I've gen it a rate good stir, took sample and readings now a much more acceptable 1042, I'll take another early evening and report back 😁
