    When should I dilute? Also, is it a good idea to add fruit at first stage for more flavour? Brand new to this brewing lark!!!!!

    I've been reading several Posts regarding adding Grape Juice etc to the wine mix. When would be the correct time to do this, and is it recommended? (I'm using my first wine kit, 30 bottle Cab Sav).

    PS. Air-Lock was half filled with water as per instructions!!

    Hi all, Brand new to this!! My wine started bubbling a bit last night and this morning was over the wall and flopr in luding thick red sludge on the towels I had placed on top of FV. I have had to remove air-lock as also bunged up with sludge. So what am I doing wrong?!

    Just put down my first 30 bottle red wine kit. I have purchased a heat belt but is only showing 18c., (Avery cold house!!), will the wine still ferment? Any other tips for a complete e novice would be greatly appreciated!!
