That looks good Gerryjo. That's why I'm putting it on my Christmas list: - a bigger batch brew - stepped mash temps - rolling boil - price good I would like one before Christmas though!

That does sound simpler. What I should though is try both ways once I get the boiler and see if there is any difference- if any. Thanks both.

Hi Joe I've tried a Cooper's Australian Lager kit and others and they've turned out pretty well. I use the yeast supplied with the kit and if I remember correctly, I used LME for the lager and DME for the ales. Once I was comfortable I started to experiment with a wheat beer kit using coriander...

Thanks BigCol. I suppose I would still have to heat up the sparge using kettles or pots to get it up to a reasonable temperature for the Burco to start with- so be it. Cheers.

I've enjoyed doing the simple stove AG BIAB's and I've started to brew a german style lager with the stepped mash process - so I'm looking at getting a boiler to make bigger brews and simplify the process even further! I've surfed the forum and I'm trying to get my head around the Burco mash...
