Anybody use 3/4" tap fittings? Please Help me!!

hope I can help. firstly are you sure your fittings are 3/4 as pipe size is measured by the internal size and not over all a 3/4 thread is the same as a brass outside tap thread. the fitting you at looking for is either a running nipple or a close tapper nipple. lastly if your fittings are 3/4...

    Welding brewing equipment

If you want to keep it cheap you should only need to weigh the lid down to stop it coming off. The seal doesn't have to be gas tight as there is always a constant pressure pushing the gas out. The coopers fermenters lid only sits on top and I've never had issues with lids coming off or infected...

    Chocolate malt Mosaic hop beer

I certainly did and it tuned out to be a cracker. Was a little to bitter to start with but now has mellowed into a nice smooth porter. My O.G. was lower than yours about 1050 and what I thought was carapils turned out to caramalt. I'm really enjoying drinking it and will definitely do again...

    New pressure barrel from Wilkos

I had a look yesterday and could not see a pressure relief valve unless its part of the co2 valve. I was using the old boots brown barrel and that had a separate pressure valve and co2 injector. Unfortunately my barrel has split so need to replace it .

    The Bulldog Brewer

Looks like a bargain at £400 if I didn't have a grainfather already then I would buy one. Its like all new equipment every body waits for someone else to take the plunge and review it. only issues I can see is the controls are at the bottom and how would they fair if you had a boil over and...

    Bottles. Advice and Information.

Samuel smiths bottles are pretty bomb proof if you can get them. If you've got a home bargains near you they had banks bitter for 89p and Sadlers for £1.49. Sadlers list the malts and hops on there beers to give you some ideas but the labels are hard to get off I go at them with those...

    Red wine kit quality

I reckon you've hit the nail on the head Bodleigh. Whilst fermenting wine I keep the temperature constant in a fermenting fridge and when it's finished rack into demijohns and store in the shed to mature. Last week it was like an oven in there so obviously the temperature fluctuations are going...
