So I am slowly moving towards experimental brewing. So I am wondering what weird and wonderful things you guys have used as sugars?......and the outcome!
Cheers
So I am getting very close to bottling my experimental wheat beer. And I want to batch prime with golden syrup. But I unsure how much to add to my brew of 20L?
Can anyone help with some suggestions?
Cheers
So the brew is 4 days in. And this is how it's looking.
And this is what I used...
1 x Wilko's premium Larger Malt Extract
1 x Danstar Munich Wheat Beer Yeast
400g x Muntons Wheat Spraymalt
300g x Muntons Light Spraymalt
400g x Brewing Sugar
Cheers! This kit has lots of flavour. Even when chilled. Definitely worth a try if you get a chance.
Not tried barreling yet how is the proses different? And is it pressurised and/or carbonated?
Hi,
I followed the in can instructions. But only made 20L and used Aldi granulated sugar. Only took 4 days to brew. And I batch primes with 240g Aldi granulated sugar. And left for a week to prime and clear.
Will be interesting to hear how yours turns out.
So finally drinking my second brew. And was having trouble with it being rather gassy when opening the bottle. But I have just worked out that it needs to be super chilled (put in the freezer for about an hour before drinking) but the results have given me a really good head retention!
Thanks for the suggestion, it's currently fermenting as I type. If I do another stout down the line I will def use the ditch's stout as a guide. I think once in drinking the stout tho I will be moving on to a wheat beer. Any suggestions!
Hi all,
Tried one brew before for a can. Currently doing my second, a Coppers original stout.
Hope to pick all your brains at some "PINT" or another.
Matt
