    Favourite Kit

Best kits I've brewed (with related tweaks): Evil Dog Double IPA with 100g lemon drop added to the "tea stage" alongside the included hops. The original beer is a bit low on hop aroma for my tastes, so I did this the second time and it is lovely. Tinsel Toes with an extra can of LME. The...

What kit beer are you drinking tonight?

I was coming in here to say I've just polished off a pint of the Tinsel Toes. I stuck an extra pouch of MJ's liquid malt into the brew to get it up into proper winter warmer territory, and it's comfortably the best kit beer I've made. What's the cheapest way to force carb a couple of pints so I can take a proper sample of a beer I'm otherwise bottle conditioning.

    What did you brew today?

Turns out I've accidentally become a beer kit guy. After my last FV came empty, I threw a Wilko winter kit in it. Followed by a MJ Grapefruit kit I ordered alongside an ingredient order for free shipping reasons, and last night I put on a Evil Dog after reading some pretty glowing reviews. Just...

Sanity Checking - First beer recipe

I spent a period of time down the homebrew rabbit hole on Serious Eats, and decided on a recipe to make. Though due to a few little issues (mostly, I missed that the recipe I bought ingredients for requires a mash tun, and I don't have one; and I'm too impatient to build/buy one right now), and...
