    Yeah it turned out fine - not exceptional but a very drinkable beer that my dad enjoyed and on a taste comparison with abbot ale the only thing that showed which was the homebrew was the filtered shine of the shop bought - on taste the homebrew got the thumbs up ahead of the bought though so...

    I have used as little as 500g of blackberries with 2kg rhubarb for a gallon - really up to personal taste, blackberry is quite a strong flavour though but goes really well with the rhubarb as does raspberry, I have also done rhubarb and orange which was lovely! :cheers:

    Cool, thanks for the info - I normally have 6 to 8 dj's on the go, taking a couple of months to be ready for bottling - this just keeps up with the wife's demands !! A good BBQ session can put a serious dent in the wine and beer homebrew so good to stay ahead :lol:

    Cracking book and as others have said a great read around the history and beer styles - gives you the knowledge to brew the styles, just brewed a Duvel today based on the info from the book ( my third clone of this lovely golden ale) wish it was ready though !!!! :drink:

    Brewed 10 gallons of summer ale a couple of months ago and today brewed 10 gallons of Duvel golden ale - been way to long without a brew and the cupboard is empty :cry: Good job the home made wine stocks are high :tongue: So that gives us 2904 gallons total 8-)
