    Beamish ish!

Many thanks! Yes, it's the stout I'm after. (Although the red ale might be worth a look!). I was actually worried that this was a bit too much roast barley. But I see you're going for 400g, YF. Looking forward to brewing this soon. Cheers

What do people think of this stout recipe? 23 L Pale 3300g Wheat 700g Roast Barley 230g Chocolate malt 450g Northdown, Hallertau, Styrian Goldings Isn't that a lot of roast barley? Thanks in advance, one and all!

    Low alcohol beer... botulism?!

Well, this brew is the foulest I have ever made. Overripe fruit aroma, putrescent. Effortlessly horrible. Hey no.

Impeachment trial on TV in the UK

I was baffled by this too. How can you show evidence of a violent event without showing violence? I thought it was an utterly bizarre editorial decision. After 9pm, as you say. Trying not to become 'Disgruntled, Milton Keynes', but I did write to the BBC about this.

    Low alcohol beer... botulism?!

That's really helpful - thanks @chthon @peebee And here's the recipe @steve123 . This was to use some NZ hops I was given a while back - an attempt to make a low-alcohol NZ bitter. 10L 1.7kg lager malt (including a bit of mild ale malt) 200g pale wheat malt 40g chocolate malt 6g Challenger 60...

    Low alcohol beer... botulism?!

Thanks! Reassuring. I had an extra swing round the cage to celebrate. Now to see if it's drinkable!

    Low alcohol beer... botulism?!

Recently started attempting to make low-alcohol beer, inspired by @peebee accounts of 'brewed' low alcohol brews, rather than boil-off. I've done a cold mash and got down to a thrillingly weak OG1018! Way-hey. Having left the thing to ferment, I of course started reading loads of forum posts...

    Apollo, Wakatu, Wai-ti, Motueka

Thanks everyone. Food for thought. So Apollo is a big balls IPA aroma thing too? All sounds promising

    Apollo, Wakatu, Wai-ti, Motueka

Evening all. What would you do with this lot?! I mean, not all at the same time probably, but what are they good for? I was given some of these so a bit unclear on their uses. My best guesses so far: Apollo: big bittering Wakatu: Hallertau-style aroma Wai-ti: aroma Motueka: aroma So probably...
