Indeed. Boots London bitter was a favourite of mine. I even got Mrs soupdragon to knock one up once while I was at work 😁 "Brewers yeast in manitol" is another memory 🤔

It would be a shame if they're not the same as they used to be. I always wanted to do a Courage Directors bitter kit (presumably Muntons) but they were discontinued before I got around to them. I'd hate the Brupaks to end up the same way 🥺

There's always the possibility of the younger generation not needing to ask so many questions on the internet. I would imagine there are a higher proportion of newer brewers with brewing parents they have watched as they were growing up

Word is that Muntons "may" do limited runs of the Smugglers.
I've got 4 to do and plan on doing something the same as you. Standard yeast X2, CML BEòIR and Four. Not sure about the 4th kit yet.

I'd been getting less and less enjoyment out of my brew days for a good few years. Don't get me wrong, the beers I've been making had been significantly better than any of the kit brews I've done. The only kit brew that I can really say that I've enjoyed every last drop is Muntons Gold Old...
