    Keg woes: TCP taste

The only time I've had that TCP taste was when using the metal mini kegs. I used to use the "no rinse" chemipro oxi stuff. Once I started rinsing it out the taste disappeared. The kegs I used to have were a pain to drain properly due to the lip in the centre of the keg. All I can suggest is to...

Punch Chateau Rouge 30 Bottle Wine Kit

The two I've got both have September 22 dates and are in the Jerry can things. I'm about 1/4 way through a kenridge classic Nebbiolo and I'm not getting £20 worth of improvement over the std £30 ish kits. If anything I'd say the beaverdale version I did a couple of years ago was nicer than the...

Punch Chateau Rouge 30 Bottle Wine Kit

Is the juice compound supplied in a bag (old style) or Jerry can type (new style)? Sam said the new version is a different compound and should make a slightly better wine. Just wondering if you notice any difference? I've done the bagged compound and thought it was tasty enough. Not long ago...

    Christmas day food pics☃️

Hi London Excellent news. We've never noticed them before, I'm hoping these will be the future. Love roast beef but the stringy bits in the usual cuts are a pain Cheers. Tom

    Christmas day food pics☃️

Never had roast sirloin before but got one for new year's day. Are they much tastier than the usual topside/silverside joints? Cheers. Tom

Bit late to the party but I've got a Poco x3 NFC. Only got it a month or so ago, previous phone was an old Xperia z5. Can't fault the Poco so far, cracking phone Cheers. Tom

"Middle Flavour" Hops in Punk IPA

Most of the recipes are based on 60 min boils so middle would be at 30 mins before the end of the boil Cheers. Tom

    Beer kit recommendations

As far as I know it's about 2c ish for a couple of days then rack straight to bottle/keg Cheers. Tom

    Beer kit recommendations

Yep, that's normal for a dry hop. Quite a lot of people crash cool the beer a day or two before kegging/bottling to force the hops to sink to the bottom. I don't have that facility but the supplied filter sock does a good job of filtering the bits out. It's worth washing and keeping it for...

    Beer kit recommendations

Did the MJ Helles last year but wasn't that impressed. I've never found a kit that actually tastes like lager..... I can highly recommend the MJ Grapefruit IPA though. Top beer. Festival's Razorback IPA is another cracker along with Love Brewing's President's Sierra IPA Cheers. Tom

    Beer line full of bubbles!

Maybe a partial blockage in the beer out tube causing turbulence as you pour and forcing Co2 out of solution? Just a guess :confused.: Cheers. Tom

    Beer line full of bubbles!

Was going to suggest the possibility of a pin hole in the beer out dip tube. Had one in one of mine once and it was all foam but you've ruled that out. Did you cover one end and blow down the other? All I can think of at the mo. Cheers. Tom
