    Older Stock.

Not sure if this qualifies as its not one of my beers but when I was clearing out my late mother's house a few years ago I found a bottle brewed by my father. He was a keen stove top brewer who sadly passed in 1995! He suffered poor health later in life so it must have been made a few years...

    Help,quick brew needed.

No worries on that score. Beer is for drinking not looking at!

    Help,quick brew needed.

Thanks for the quick replies. Would it be okay to pitch at a higher temp then drop the inkbird to 20c the next day to get it going faster?

    Help,quick brew needed.

Due to circumstances beyond my control I have not been able to brew for a couple of months so I now find myself in the dire position of being almost out of beer. I don't pressure ferment or keg I just use pressure barrels or at a push, bottles. As you can probably guess I need something from...

Hate them them all. I know I'm a miserable git.

Brewing mistakes you really wish you'd avoided...

I know that it's down to the operator and not the Bz. I lied in the original post when I said that I've never made a decent brew with it. I did make a good lager with it which is odd as it's only the second one i've ever made. Normally it's ales/bitters. I feel I have got mash temps nailed down...

Brewing mistakes you really wish you'd avoided...

It's a Brewzilla 3.1.1. All my brews seem to overshoot target og by a country mile but fg is usually about right. The brew usually turns out darker than I expected, a bit cloudy and with very little hop flavour or aroma. I have got mash temp spot on now but no difference. I used my 3v system for...

Brewing mistakes you really wish you'd avoided...

Buying an AIO! 11brews in and still can't get decent beer out of the damn thing. 3v system which served me well for many years is going to get dusted down and put back in to service.

Would you swap your all in one?

I had my old cobbled together 3v system for many years and made loads of great beers. Bought a BZ last year and 10 brews in and I still can't get the hang of the damm thing but I am determined so probably not. Just need to swallow my pride and start asking for more advice.

Motorcyclist fined after fireball Cambridge car crash

I have studied the footage a few times and concluded that due to proximity of traffic in front the car driver could not see that the road ahead was clear. He should have paused before making the turn. PS it did look like the bike was shifting a bit especially as it looks like a residential area.

    Removing chlorine from tap water.

Our water tastes and smells fine most of the time but occasionally when I have a glass of water the chlorine smell hits you before you take a sip so I always use a Campden.

    Kits I Wouldn't Brew Again

I also make kits when circumstances prevent ag.wherry was the worst by far. I have had much better results with cheaper single can kits.

    One for the bikers

Totally agree, cars have too many blind spots. I was involved in an accident a couple of years ago, the other driver admitted responsibility and uttered the immortal words smidsy. The difference was I was in a vw passat at the time! On a bike always ride defensively, slow down and be ready to...

    One for the bikers

Just buy one and suffer the consequences after! If I see an adventure bike on the road it's usually a GS so thousands of bikers can't be wrong. Good luck with your future biking.

    One for the bikers

The BMW GS series are by all accounts excellent bikes and very reliable however they are a bit of a lump and they are a bit top heavy. I had a go on my mate's and found it a bit of a handful when low speed maneuvering but fine when you get going. Not sure how tall you are but it's a long way...
