    Infected or not

I’ve been lazy and let this beer sit from 18th Oct. It’s been in the beer fridge at 4c for most of the time once fermentation was over. It’s a Kolsch. there are some specs looks like yeast, but I thought it would of dropped with the rest of the yeast. It smells ok. Not sure if what I am seeing...

    Water profile advice

I didn’t realise I needed to keep bulb moist, I will check it and look to add a sponge to moist sponge in there. I do keep the batteries in it. Should I remove these. I will download the software you suggest If I check mash ph and it is high should I add crs or gypsum to try and bring it down

    Water profile advice

I was aiming for a mash PH value, I don’t have a Salifert test kit, I appreciate it may vary, but was happy there would be slight variations but probably not enough to worry about. I got a water report from my water company for year ending 2020 and compared it to the year before. Although all...

    Adding/using raspberries

I did a raspberry beer last year, and it ended up been very good, the wife even gave it the thumbs up and she doesn’t normally drink beer. I used fresh raspberries my mother in law got from her allotment. I added them to boiling water for about 30 seconds. I used 600g. I fermenter my beer for...

    Water profile advice

I haven’t really focused on changing my water profile that much until recently and have attempted it on my last 3 brews. On my last brew I used strange Steve’s calculator and after letting mash rest for 20 minutes, I took a sample let it cool, and took a PH reading that showed as 6.24 I added...

    Bottle Filler

4 head bottle filler, you put a bottle on each arm, once full the flow stops and swap over, it has a reservoir that the fermenter flows into with a ball valve to stop overflowing. Does anyone have any experience of using this and can give me any tips ?

    Bottle Filler

Don’t normally post pictures of my equipment, but just received this yesterday, I’ve been wanting one for a while now and eventually found someone selling one. Did a trial run with just water and managed to fill 20 500ml bottles in just over 3 minutes. The challenge will be to get the beer...

How do you find your recipes?

I don’t think that most breweries post their recipes, certainly not what I have found https://brewdogmedia.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/docs/2019+DIY+DOG+-+V8.pdf

How do you find your recipes?

I sometimes think of a beer I like, then search the net for clone recipes and see what I find, can be a bit hit and miss as it’s just someone’s interpretation of it. If you like BrewDog beers they, list the ingredients and quantities they use in their beers on their website, think the recipes...
