    Rhubarb in Tripel

I did in fact make it! It was absolutely delicious, a touch on the dry side but just enough to make the rhubarb sing. Grainfather Community ToolsKB Rhubarb Tripel

Equipment For Sale Kegerator - Hisense Fridge - Modern

Hi, Selling my old Kegerator I made out of a Hisense Fridge. It fits 2 of the newer tall, slim kegs in the bottom and I made a fitting for the gas line and temp controller in the top. It fits two normal shanks and taps through the front with a drip tray attached, I have long since upgraded to...

    Overrated beers

i'm really over NEIPA now. in fact i've become the quintessential disillusioned beer nerd and concentrate mainly on pils and the ilk now.

    Greg Hughes American Wheat

I made this one and it was delicious, unfortunately a missing washer on my john guest shank adapter means that i had to clean 2/3rds of the keg out of the bottom of my keezer :(

    Rhubarb in Tripel

So my brother has kindly given me 3kg rhubarb from his allotment and i'm really keen to try this in a Tripel, but i'm v. conscious of the bitterness factor and I want to retain some sweetness to counteract it. I have seen some stuff around using another fruit like mango or strawberry to offset...

    What did you brew today?

Brewing a Japanese Rice Lager today, I unfortunately lost most of a corny of my summer wheat in my keezer due to some bad john guest shank fittings (that was a bitch to clean), so i'm trying to brew something else to crush. 3.5kg pilsner malt 500g vienna malt 500g flaked rice 13g sorachi at...

How do you attach the grainfather chiller to the tap?

There was a really good brulosophy podcast on this, where they used laser spectroscopy to analyse the 'quality' of the wort rather than the overall gravity, and of all tests they did they registered that a proper 4 step mash was the best for 'quality' wort. If you're getting 70%ish, it won't...

How do you attach the grainfather chiller to the tap?

One thing I really recommend for getting your efficiency up is doing a step mash with the GF. I've started getting 90-95% efficiency with a step mash and a slow sparge, so I do a step on all my beers now. Protein Rest - 10min at 55c Alpha Amylase - 30min at 65c Beta Amylase - 30min at 71c Mash...

    Keezer's of the UK

Awesome, thanks for the feedback, I was planning on jigsawing a cutout for where the exhaust/intake fan bit in the rear is so it still had airflow (rather than covering in), do you think that will be sufficient or I should still leave a void in the back too? I figured cutting out around the...

    Keezer's of the UK

I ended up going with a LEC CF300LMk2, I can get 6 cornies + gas in it, was more expensive but I'm happy as it doesn't have an external radiator on the back too.

    Keezer's of the UK

Hi, Was wondering if anyone could share what make / model they went for with a keezer? I've got 2 slim 19L cornies and 2 old style 19L cornies, looking to make a keezer but outside of going to curry's to look at theirs, I don't know if the internal diameters are good enough so thought I'd put...

    What did you brew today?

I tried something new yesterday and that is pitching a brew onto the yeast cake of a brew I just finished. First brew was this: Banoffee Weizenbock (from James Morton "Brew" book, tweaked) 3.2kg Wheat Malt 1.7kg Pale Malt 1kg Munich 400g DRC Crystal 300g Pale Crystal Malt (30L) 200g Chocolate...
