Making hay whilst the sun shines with a Theakstons.
Not had one for of these for ages and surprised that it seems quite biscuity for such a pale beer.

Big hike with the dog today so hoping this helps the knees. Ginger has anti inflammatory properties so I like a ginger beer after a big walk. This batch of Ginger Ninja is still a bit green but wanted to try it.

It's quite sweet and undercarbed so I tested it with the hydrometer to make sure the priming sugar has gone. I hope it ages as well as my others. Slurry from a Wilko Newky kit plus limes, oranges, ginger and the odd carrot that Rudolph didn't eat.

Hoping my cider making friend won't be too offended that I have used half a bottle of a 2017 Vintage intriguingly called El Cid, to cook this lump of pork belly 😋

I find bitter works excellently in Yorkshire Puddings (if I wouldn’t drink It then I won’t cook with it either).

As for what I’m drinking Top Dog Stout Clone.

That one was more of a brown ale than an amber and they said it was a Belgian not a good example of either. Try devils backbone from kinnegar to see how it should be done.
Thanks John. I'll get into that ASAP. Kinnegar are a class above the rest of them around here I think.

I've got a few lucky dips tonight. Due to a lack of labelling of 3 crates and I have forgotten what's what after moving them, I am going to need to drink a few to figure this out.

The Brett must be still working on it. I don't remember the one I had being that carbonated. I seen Steve review 👌
How long did you leave the Brett in before bottling
I added the Brett at bottling in each individual bottle. It was around 2-3ml per bottle of the dregs. I think the gravity at bottling was 1.005.
