Hello all, been brewing from kits (beer and wine) on and off for quite a few years. The kits nowadays are very good and this seems a great place for tips and info. Recently made a Woodfordes Wherry, bottled, which turned out very well and St Peters IPA likewise. I'm looking to make a Belgian Blond style next, recommendations welcome!

welcome back and to the forum 🍻

Welcome! The Mangrove Jacks craft kits are very good and they do a Belgian Saison. Haven’t done it myself, but I’m sure others on here will have.

Recommend the Lemon Sour Gose one as well (if you can find one they are hard to source) but a fantastic Summer drink.

Welcome to the forum. I recently made the Bruphoria James Blonde Ale kit from the Homebrew Company. I’ve yet to taste it. It is just about ready for consumption but I’m going to leave it for another month.

Thanks, be interested to know how it turns out.

@Ruudspark would strongly recommend Festival Belgian Pale Ale. 5.5% ABV with classic Belgian estery tones.

Believe Festival kits are from same 'farm' as Mangrove Jacks. Both are brands owned by and using same ingredients from Bevie Ingredients group.

Festival are 3kg two-pack pouch kits with dry-hop additions and extra dextrose for stronger brews. MJ 'Craft Series' are sold as separate extract and 'beer enhancer' pouches, and also include dry-hop additions.

I've done about 15 kits overall across both ranges over lockdown and had generally fantastic results from every one of them.

Good to know, I have looked at this and also the Muntons. Not tried a Festival yet so will be on my list thanks 👍🏻

@Ruudspark I've done a few of Muntons brands also in past (Werry & Nelson). Realise it's down to personal preference, but for what it's worth, would generally rate Festival/MJ kits higher.
