I now very much regret sharing this deal and potentially giving Curry's custom as they've been absolutely woeful in dealing with me. They've taken my �£145 gift card balance without the transaction actually going through and can't sort it out. So I'm �£145 out of pocket and nothing to show for it.

What, i thought it was only £90. Pretty sure they will have to refund you. Let us know what happens cos thats really out of order. Still i bought a single mattress of ebay and when i unrolled it found its 10cm too short. They offered 50% refund lol. Seems bad service is the norm nowadays.

I am drafting a lengthy complaint.

Sorted this morning, quite why the 5/6 people I be previously spoke to couldn't do it I'm not sure. Should arrive tomorrow so hopefully will have it finished by the weekend. Waiting on a new faucet and Inkbird too. Then just need another keg or two.
 
Bloody hate trains - just typed a long post and went through a tunnel after clicking post.

Freezer finally turned up yesterday and it fits in the kitchen cubby-hole under the stairs.

Have done some crude measurements and think that 2 19l cornies will fit in the main compartment, I'm pretty much decided in getting a 9l one for the hump, but with a deep enough collar another 19l would fit I think.

I plan on doing some proper drawings, which I will share on here in case anyone finds it useful.

I currently keg condition and use a sodastream canister to dispense. Will need to get measurements for larger canisters and take this into consideration for the layout.

A second flow control tap should be turning up today or tomorrow, but as I only have one keg at the moment it's not of great importance. Some more kegs will follow in January.

Plan on getting some timber and making a start on the collar at the weekend.

Inkbird 308 also arrived. I'm a bit unsure on what to set the compressor delay at. Have read varying advice from 5-40 minutes so any other opinions greatly received.

Have seen a build (might have been on here actually) where JG shut off valves have been used. Think I'll go down this route as a failsafe for completely flooding the floor if the tap leaks (don't have forward sealing ones).
 
Thanks to a lot of help from my carpenter Father-in-Law this is now pretty much done.

May add some insulation (at least aluminium foil stuff) to the inside, need to get a third flow-control tap (well don't need, but would like it all to match), then some more kegs. Oh, need a larger CO2 bottle too.

A 19l corny will not fit on the hump as I didn't want a huge collar, since I'm set on a half size corny this is fine. My collar is 150mm nominal, but 175mm would enable a 19l keg.

Will post some photos later on (laptop updating atm!).

Have some aluminium foil insulation to add to the inside of the collar and will be treating the outside with some Danish oil this evening.

It seems to be holding temperature really well, have it set to 12℃ with 2.5℃ differential either way and 10 minute delay.

At some point I'll also be making a bottle cap bar top, but it's functional now and really happy with it.

looks good. If you want to insulate it better you can get some builders Styrofoam at the local builders yard for not too much money and they come in different thicknesses - I think yours looks like 2inch.

Also, my keezer had a big temp gradient within which caused some probs with fobbing. I used a fan from an old sky box to equalise the temp and no fobbing. Also it only uses 0.7W so not a big deal with elec.
 
I ended up with some radiator reflector, more to cover the interior timber than anything as my temperature losses don't seem too bad at the moment, kitchen is rather cool most of the time.

I have flow control taps, so should be able to get around any fobbing issues, but have thought about adding a PC fan at some point.

How's the condensation been on yours? Have you done anything to avoid this? I may get some of those throw-away condensation traps if it becomes an issue.
 
I only had condensation probs when it was without a fan. After the fan was installed, the condensation stopped.
 
Ordered a 9l AEB keg and some fittings from The Malt Miller yesterday. Great service from them as there were a couple of issues with the order, but all solved and should arrive tomorrow.

Unfortunately I returned home to find an infection and a pellicle in my milk stout, which I had intended to be the first beer in the keg. Whilst it tasted ok and probably could have been saved I was in no mood to mess about so binned it.

Unsure if this was from the coffee beans/cacao nibs (haven't sterlised them previously, but that was in stronger beers) or a combination of the CO2 blanket escaping when I added the hop sack of beans/nibs and the solution in the airlock evaporating (airlock was empty) once I'd got back home after Christmas.

But ****** off, but I plan on making something with the odds and sods of grain I have in my grain box instead.
 
Ordered another second hand keg from The HBC, which arrived today (slightly more bashed around the opening, but seals and that's what matters). Much to my relief it fits in fine, despite some worries that my measurements were off.

Think I'll stick with the 3 kegs as will allow me room for a CO2 canister inside too. This will be my next purchase (giving me the option to force carb, which I can't do with the sodastream cylinder), along with a CO2 manifold I think. Then to add a fan and upgrade the third tap and hopefully I'll be done!
 
Haven't brewed in a while as moved into the in-law's and everything was in storage.

We've now moved into our new home and I'm looking to get back onto the brewing horse.

My eBay flow control taps are fairly pitted and I've lost one in the move, so I've treated myself to some new stainless nukataps from The Malt Miller.

Need to add a drip tray and am hoping to add bottle caps to the lid.

First brew is scheduled for next week, a hazelnut porter, with a saison to follow once that's been kegged.

I've added two kegland secondary regulators (with 0-30 psi gauges) to my system. I would like to have two beers on at a time, and I try to brew some variety so this will allow me to serve a lower carbonated style, along with a saison/lager.

The third keg seems to have been requisitioned for cocktails, so I may get another secondary regulator for that if these work well.
