Tonigbt I am drinking my hefeweizen. Whats interesting and il try and get a pic next time is how clear it was at the start of the pour. Half a pint or so was crystal clear and really tasted nice. Totally different from the yeasty end result once the bottle is loused. A beer in its own right that I may consider exploring. Perhaps a higher ABV, and a touch of darker malt and cold crash it to let it clear down. Not sure if thats already a recognised type of wheat beer but I think I might give it a go

Looks like there has been a priming inconsistency in my Weizenbock. Last nights bottle was flat as a pancake, tonight’s went off like Vesuvius. Batch primed to 3vols CO2, I’m guessing the sugar solution hadn’t distributed properly before bottling. It’s bloody delicious, wheat first then the malts take over. Lots of banana esters from the yeast. It’s pretty much what I was shooting for, really annoyed at the bottling mess up.

I must brew another weizenbock, lovely beer. What yeast did you use, from memory I think I used T58

This has happened to me before. As you say the sugar solution didn't mix to well. I now give everything a light stir to make sure 👍

That beer is a big deal around these parts. I like stouts, it's a sipper with noticeable coffee and chocolate flavor.
Below is what happens when a cat sits on your chest for 30 minutes, you're bored and you have a camera available.

This is how cute he really looks (Crunch is on the left, Hogarth (former outdoor cat) to the right:

Your photo has encouraged me to open up your Weizenbock...

It's superb! Lot of banana esters, dark malts in abundance. A great winter warmer.
Carbonation level was good for me

Absolutely battered, all day hard labour, so a 4 pack of Black Sheep for me for smooth easy drinking muscle relaxant... three pints... at lunchtime?

“Drink up,” said Ford, “you’ve got three pints to get through.”
“Three pints?” said Arthur. “At lunchtime?”
The man next to ford grinned and nodded happily. Ford ignored him. He said, “Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so.”
“Very deep,” said Arthur, “you should send that in to the Reader’s Digest. They’ve got a page for people like you.”
