KitchenAid Grain Mill

Hello,

The Mrs is getting a KitchenAid stand mixer for Xmas, and she told me about their grain mill attachment...

Has anybody used one of these fir crushing brewing grains with success? My fear is that they look geared mostly towards grinding super fine for flour, rather than a gentle crush - although it is adjustable.

You mean she's having one whether she wants one or not...and the grain mill AND a 25kg sack of maris otter.
Funnily my Mrs is having a fish finder and I've just ordered a suprise for her....£50 worth of hooks,swivels and other stuff.
Dead good us lot!

Haha! She is a brewer too, the mill was her idea!

Ideal! Mrs Clint, however, does not vett my angling or brewing purchases so all is good!

I think someone brought this up recently, and the big downside was that you could only crush something like 1kg at a time before having to give it a 45min rest - it’s aimed more at bread making than beer making.

They must have only had a couple at the back of their cupboard as they're gone already!
