Just a word of warning.
I put 40 used PET bottles in the dishwasher on Saturday just to give them a quick clean prior to bottling 40 pints of cider.
I had previously done it with glass bottles and thought it would be a quick pain free way to rinse them prior to use, they had already been cleaned a couple of months ago.
Well, the result was placing an order for 48 new ones as the old ones didn’t survive the process. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
just be warned, PET bottles and dishwashers don’t play nicely.
