BIR base gravy - tried a few versions now but surprised some use coconut milk or creamed coconut so haven't put that in mine, what's the general opinion: with coconut or not?
I forgot to buy coconut when I made mine, so left it out and am still very happy with the results! Ive made the Chicken Tika Masala and a Lamb Karahi. Both have been excellent, if I do say so myself athumb..

Tandoori chicken with Sag Paneer , naan, aubergine and sausages tonight.

Just to add (because there seems to be no edit option to my post):

How she describes the Our House Pakistani Chicken Curry as 'Serves about 4 people' is a stretch. It fed two of us and both of us wanted more.

Cobbled together a curry base. Clearly nowhere near as thick or scrummy-looking as Clint's above. Had no green pepper, so used two roasted red peppers from a jar. Also added a small bag of frozen carrots (about 100g) left over from a Sunday roast a few weeks ago. Made about 1.5 to 2 litres of base. It tastes OK. I'll decide tomorrow what to use it in. I'm keen to give one of the Mystic Ricardo recipes a go.

Sorry about the pics. Horrible grey day in the North and had to use the flash. Though as I post this, the sun has come out. ashock1
