I remember 10 ish years ago being absolutely bowled over by the amount of choice of beer you had when I was in Portland Oregon, I had by far and away the best choc stout I've ever had there, gutted I can't remember the name of it.
Yeah the options are amazing in the beer states. I have about 22 to choose from and might get to 4... One day I'll make it up to Portland.

My husband always makes us order enough for about 6 people, even though there's only 2 of us here. He says he likes a selection 😂

We've gone for a local one in the village that does pizza, and got a nice discount.
We had a nice lunch today in a sourdough pizza place where the pizzas are outstanding and a bonus as they are now fully licensed and selling the kinnegar range of beers.
enjoy.

This is a fantastic beer and at 8.4% in a 750ml bottle a lovely beer in the sun with nothing left to do today except enjoy.
well after running down the road after an escapee dog who then went into the kitchen and snatched the thawed chicken breasts left out for dinner that is.

My first ever homebrewed...

....SAISON!!

This is from the bottle I filled after filling the corny. It was a bit of an afterthought, so was only carbed with 3g of sugar in 66cl, but it's lovely.

It's hopped with Hallertau Blanc, which really seems to work well in this style.

Might get the keg on for the bank holiday; this seems to have carbed up and conditioned very quickly. Is that normal for Belle Saison yeast?

In my experience, yes. It also finishes very dry - 1.004 was my last FG

I posted this last night so following up with we both liked it and will be buying it again.

SWMBO found this in Tesco earlier so added it to my usual weekend beers (picture from google images) if it tastes as good as the description it'll a good one.

A limited edition cask beer which proved a huge hit when unveiled by Shepherd Neame last year, is now available to buy in bottle.

New Dawn Citrus IPA was created last May for Cask Club, Shepherd Neame’s contemporary cask ale initiative which sees a new beer released each month.

Brewed with Mandarina hops sourced from the Hallertau region of Germany, New Dawn also has dried sweet orange zest added during the brewing process. It is a straw-coloured beer with a mellow smooth bitterness, hints of orange and a refreshing citrus hit courtesy of the Mandarina hops and orange zest. It offers a sweet, slightly drying palate, and is ideally served lightly chilled.

New Dawn Citrus IPA is now available in a 500ml bottle (5% ABV) from Shepherd Neame’s online shop and from selected Tesco stores nationwide.

Shepherd Neame National Account Manager Amanda Beer said: “With its exciting flavour profile and vibrant look, New Dawn achieved an outstanding national on-trade reach throughout May last year. This success enabled us to present the brand to Tesco, and we are delighted to announce that it has just been listed in 241 Tesco stores nationwide. It is a fantastic beer and we are delighted to make it a permanent part of our range.”
