And then were two. Will the old right wing Tories in the shires vote for a non white PM. Truss being elected would be good for Labour.

If that's the case you are in deep tish. I would prefer to let the best entrepreneurs run the country for three years. Yes they will make money on the side but the economy might get sorted. By the way your best businessmen aren't the privileged few. They are the ones who got off their arses and made their money.
So a corrupt oligarchy.

How is that different to the UKs current government?

Who will be at the reigns when this lot are voted out :laugh8:

Apparently the 1922 group have released the voting form:

Dear party member you have chance to vote for the new leader of the Conservative party and PM. Please tick one of the below:

The grinning fool

or

The fool who grins a lot

We will inform you of who won in August

How about Mr Starmer then!

“Keir Starmer launched a sweary tirade at Boris Johnson, calling him a “bullshitter” who took the “****” out of the public.”

I agree with him on the subject of Boris and also when he said that all the Tory leadership contenders are “B-grade candidates”.

That should stop the Tory Nadine Dorries from calling him ‘boring’!

BTW, good old Liz Truss was forced to delete a Twitter post soon after posting it, as social media users pointed out a glaring error.

She had written: “Thank you for putting your trust in me. I’m ready to hit the ground from day one.”

By the time it was withdrawn a number of followers suggested that she should wear a crash hat if she intended to fall flat on her face!
clapa clapa

No-one needs to make stuff up whilst the “Grade-B Candidates” keep going for “Tory Glory”!
:hat:

The thing is, it's not a big joke. It's our children's future.
Sorry, but the best way to beat someone who lies, cheats and bullies is to laugh at them until they slink away! That takes real courage!

It also goes for the people who follow the oppressors, especially those who believe their lies and vote for them.

Within a Democratic System peaceful protest is really the only thing that an ordinary person can do.

May I suggest that you join a Political Party that reflects what you wish to achieve; and maybe even canvas for them at the next General Election?

Yes! “It’s our children’s future!” but I think that teaching them to laugh at the ones who wish to oppress them and trying to put things right within the law is the best method.

What else do you want to teach kids?

There isn't a leader within a bulls roar of parliament in either major party, they are all as weak as a cup of boarding house tea. The self made entrepreneurs have the drive needed to steer a country. There are tough times ahead and it is going to take someone with the will to win, I can't see it in either of the two favourite candidates.

….. The self made entrepreneurs have the drive needed to steer a country. ….,
The only “self made entrepreneurs” that I have met were too busy making money to bother about politics!

Their sole intention was to make more money, move any manufacturing to a country where they could pay their workers low wages, be treated as a “benefactor” and dodge paying UK taxes!

Funnily enough, that seems to be the policy of the current government!

i.e. they want people to work for low wages, they make prople’s jobs insecure by allowing “zero hours” contracts, they are attempting to modify the UK Human Rights Legislation and they have made “peaceful protest” against government actions illegal,

All of this is happening NOW and unless we change this government we will be in “A race to the bottom!”

For anyone who doesn’t understand this phrase then please look it up.

If it wasn't obvious, I wasn't referring to Starmer's (not that important, in my view, but that's another matter) comments, which I wasn't even aware of at the time I posted, but at the jocular comments that had been made about it upthread. And hey, I'm not bagging anyone for doing that. My simple point was, yes, we can laugh at the craziness of it of it all, but the fact is, a small group of very unrepresentative people will decide the immediate future of our country. Politics is, or should be, a serious business, not a game-show.

I think you will find Dutto money isn't the driver, its ego, the will to succeed, to be in charge, that is why there is only 2% of them and 98% of us.

Sorry, I'm not sure if you been sarcastic.
Are Australians like Americans and not understand irony (please don't say irony is the same as bronzy) or sarcasm?

Donald Trump is an example of a good leader?
Please illuminate me.
Better than what they have now. Or is Sleepy Joe doing a great job?
