How long does everyone think i should leave it until I check the FG again? I'm thinking a week tops? I added 85g of white sugar to a 17L batch

My main concern is exposure to air since my fermenter doesn't have a tap unfortunately, it's on my list of things to buy

After all this I was thinking of getting some kegs, not large ones just the small reusable ones for a 17 litre batch. I can't afford much so I don't want it to break the bank, does anyone have any recommendations? Bottling is going to be a hassle I think, I want to for belgiums, stouts and porters but for anything else a keg would be good I think

You could be alright, with some luck and the extra sugar you could scrub any oxygen from the wort. I am a hard taskmaster to myself but even with experience mistakes happen. Usually through flippancy, which is even more annoying. I have 4 pressure barrels for free, a 18 litre two ten and a five. Far better than what you have over there, they work with a D coupler but I am in Australia. Bugger.
