Are they not already passivated, or are you doing something to them (guessing that is what is meant by "project")?
Reason I ask is one of mine have a spot of rust inside and I am looking for ways to remedy.

Dabbing on Barkeepers Friend with a long paint brush or something cable tied to a stick should do it.

A whole keg would require a strong enough acid in enough quantity to swill around a sealed keg, then drain and then air dry.

I bought them 2nd hand, and they're not up to my standards.
One has scratches inside, due to the wrong size dip tube has been used, the other one has something suspicious in it as well.

The only positive is they're tall kegs.
