Back on the bitter, it’s nice 🤷‍♂️

Just enjoying the fruity fresh rich hops in this, when I spotted:
My first Humming Bird Hawk Moth of the year.
At the fuscia pot out back.
Delighted, as SWMBOd saw it last night at the trailing pelagonium and buddleia.
Feeling good, as it is now on to leg of lamb and Aldi Toscana Rosso.
🍺
That moth sounds well fed.

In all seriousness, is that a commercial brew or a homebrew? I've been looking for a decent recipe for a sparkling ale. (I thought they were supposed to be cloudy?)
It is a home brew and yes a Coopers sparkling or pale ale do have the yeast in the bottom of the bottle. The ****** way of serving a Coopers Sparkling or Pale ale is to roll it all over the bar mat. Doesn't suit me if they start doing that I ask for another one.
I didn't go to beer pouring school for a fortnight to pour cloudy beer.
Tonight my IPA. One of the best.

A Proper Job which has just released it's yeast babies for me to culture for my own version. Hope my head retention is better than this one!
In my experience, this yeast is absolutely bonkers. One bottle is enough to cultivate a strong culture. Give this yeast plenty of headspace and expect a high attenuation.
Nice glass. Must go and look for a pint of Summer Lightning. It's not all that far to Wiltshire.

Back from bike ride.
No exploding front inner tube today.
First time in 3 days!
Croatian Motive Beer Co.,
Magnetic Attraction.
BBE 09.03.2022.
Still lovely and hoppy.
Poured with a very lively thick head, I had to continually sup off the head to get it to fit in the glass.
Feeling a bit gassy now!

Having a try of my bottled Golden Ale. I’m disappointed that the vibrant hop aroma and flavour has faded. It is well carbonated though (probably too well carbonated got the style) and in all honesty I get more hop aroma and flavour when I burp! 😂

Perhaps you have auto-fermentation in your guts due to the occasional tipple, or many, you have to 'test'.
The only way to tell is to do a starter bottle culture on your stomach contents and see what the results are in a brew.
After you, HB!
I know how you like to experiment. 😜🍺

I've got a real treat in store for this evening. I planned to drink it last night but found myself in a rather advanced state of refreshment on Saturday night so it had to wait.
It's a Pliny clone brewed by @phildo79.

First up, check out the clarity on that! It's outstanding given the massive dry hop that went in.
Aroma is good, but possibly a bit more muted than memories of my own brew in it's early days. That could just be my rose tinted nostrils talking.
Flavourwise, it's an explosion of malt sweetness and citrus hops. The bitterness is high, but balanced with flavour. Great mouthfeel, full body and a dry finish that makes you want to go back for more. Overall very reminiscent of my own attempt.
It's a great brew, thank-you for sharing it clapa
